The Updating the Handbook of Operating Procedures Policy (http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/intro/intro_11.html) has been re-named the Policy and Procedure Development and Maintenance Policy and revised to reflect current procedures for creating and revising university policies and procedures. The Use of the Designation of Center or Institute Policy (No. 1.19, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/01/1_19.html) has been re-named the Establishment and Review of Organized Research Units Policy and has been revised to more closely conform to University of Texas System requirements. For questions regarding this policy, contact the Office of Research.
The Expending University Funds in Support of Charitable Cause Policy (No. 2.11.1, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/02/2_11_1.html) has been re-named the Marketing the University through Sponsorships Policy and has been revised to reflect current requirements and procedures for financial support for external community organizations. Questions regarding this policy should be directed to the Office of Institutional Advancement.
The University Governance Policy (http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/university_governance.html) has been revised to reflect the structure of the university and to more closely conform with University of Texas System requirements. The following policies were combined into this more comprehensive policy: Standing Committees, Chief Administrative Officer, Other Administrative Officers, Deans, Selection of Other Administrative Officers, 4.26 Governance, and 6.13 Governance.
