Revised Policies

The Continuing Education Services Policy (No. 2.46A, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/02/2_46A.html) has been revised to reflect current requirements for the provision of continuing education courses. Questions regarding continuing education should be directed to the Office of Academic Affairs or to the appropriate Office of the Dean.  Questions regarding travel expenses related to continuing education services should be directed to the Expense Reimbursement Team.

The Volunteers Policy (No. 2.60, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/02/2_60.html) has been revised to include a link to procedures published on the Human Resources website.

The AIDS, HIV, HBV, and HCV Policy (No. 18.07, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/18/18_07.html) has been re-titled the Bloodborne Pathogen Infection Control Policy. The policy includes new requirements regarding reporting of exposure to bloodborne pathogens and educational efforts related to bloodborne pathogens. Employees who have questions about their rights in relation to HIV, HBV and HCV infection should contact Human Resources – Equal Opportunity. Students who have questions about their rights in relation to HIV, HBV and HCV infection should contact the student affairs official in their school.  For safety related information regarding bloodborne pathogens, contact Environmental Health & Safety. For voluntary testing and counseling information, employees should contact The University of Texas Health Services (“UTHS”).  Students should contact The University of Texas Student Health Clinic (“UTHSC”).

The Tuberculosis Infection Policy (No. 18.13, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/18/18_13.html) has been revised to reflect the current testing protocol for new and current employees.

Employees with questions regarding their rights in relation to tuberculosis infection should contact Human Resources – Equal Opportunity. Students with questions regarding their rights in relation to tuberculosis infection should contact the student affairs official in their school. Health care workers with questions regarding the Tuberculosis Control Plan should contact Environmental Health & Safety.

 

Combined Policies

The Upward Mobility Policy and the Transfers Policy have been combined.  The combined policy is entitled Internal Applicants (Classified and Management Administrative and Professional) (No. 2.67, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/02/2_67.html). For questions regarding this policy, contact Human Resources – Employment Services.

The Overtime Pay Policy and the Compensatory Time Off Policy have been combined.  The combined policy is entitled Overtime Pay and Compensatory Time Off (No. 5.05, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/05/5_05.html).  For questions regarding this policy, contact Human Resources.

 

Deleted Policies

The Separation from the UTHSC-H Policy (No. 2.32) has been deleted. Please refer to the Helpful Links under the Supervisor Resources on the Human Resources website for separation guidelines.
