Revised Policies

The Family and Medical Leave Policy (No. 2.40C, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/02/2_40C.html) has been revised due to a change in federal regulations. New categories of leave, military caregiver leave and qualifying exigency leave, have been added. Additionally, the forms used and time periods within which departments must respond to employees who request family and medical leave or who the department becomes aware may need family and medical leave have changed. Employees with questions regarding the use or administration of family and medical leave should contact the Human Resources – Employee Relations department. Forms and Frequently Asked Questions can be found on the Human Resources-Employee Relations department website.

The Termination of Employment: Administrative & Professional Employees Policy (No. 3.06, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/03/3_06.html) has been updated to reflect current processes. For questions regarding the termination of management administrative and professional employees, contact Human Resources. For questions regarding the termination of academic administrative and professional employees, contact the applicable unit head’s office.
