New Policy

The Administration of Courses Offered in Shortened Format Policy (No. 1.22, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/1.22AdministrationofCoursesOfferedinShortenedFormat.html) is a new policy which addresses how course credit should be assigned for courses offered in a shortened format. For questions regarding this policy, contact the Office of the Registrar.

Revised Policies

The Employment of Relatives Policy (No. 2.25, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/02/2_25.html) has been re-named and is now entitled Nepotism and Other Relationships. The definition of a close relative has been revised to mirror current Texas law. The procedures regarding disclosing a relationship with a close relative and managing the working relationships between close relatives have been revised. Questions regarding this policy should be directed to Human Resources.

The Preventive Health Care Policy (No. 2.39F, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/02/2_39F.html) has been revised. Employees must complete 180 days of employment before being eligible to use this type of leave. For questions concerning this policy, contact Human Resources.

The Processing Retroactive Personnel Actions Policy (No. 11.18, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/11/11_18.html) has been revised to indicate current procedures. For questions regarding this policy, contact the Post Award Finance Team or the System Data Resources Team.

The Interdepartmental Transfer of Funds Policy (No. 12.07, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/12/12_07.html) has been simplified and revised to indicuate current procedures. Contact General Accounting for more information regarding interdepartmental transfers of funds.

The Handling Records Requests Policy (No. 17.07, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/17/17_07.html) has been renamed as the Handling Requests for Public Information Policy. A definition of public information has been added and the procedural information has been updated. For questions regarding this policy, contact the Office of Legal Affairs and Institutional Compliance.

Combined Policies

The Rights and Responsibilities of Faculty Members Policy (No. 4.11, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/04/4_11.html) has been combined with the Office Hours Policy (No. 4.17). For questions regarding this policy, contact the Office of Academic Affairs.
