Revised Policies

The Budgetary Environment Policy (No. 1.02, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/01/1_02.html) has been revised and will serve as the general budget policy for the university. For questions regarding this policy, contact Budget and Financial Reporting.

The Student Services Policy (No. 6.16, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/06/6_16.html) has been revised to better describe student involvement in vendor contracting. For questions regarding this policy, contact Auxiliary Enterprises or the Office of Academic Affairs.

The Faculty Promotion Policy (No. 4.05, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/04/4_05.html) has been updated to to clarify the promotion process for faculty. Additionally, the Guidelines for Faculty Promotion have been updated. For questions regarding this policy or the guidelines, contact the Office of Academic Affairs.

Combined Policies

The UTFlex Policy and the Group Insurance Policy (Nos. 2.17A and 2.17B) have been merged with the Insurance Eligibility Policy (No. 2.17, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/02/2_17.html). For questions regarding this policy, contact Employee Benefits.

The Teacher Retirement System, Optional Retirement Program, State Deferred Compensation Plan and Tax Sheltered Annuity Program Policies (Nos. 2.42A, 2.42B, 2.42C and 2.42D) have been combined with the Retirement Program Eligibility Policy (No. 2.42, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/02/2_42.html). The Longevity Pay Policies (Nos. 3.10 and 5.12) have been combined. The combined Longevity Pay Policy is numbered 2.64 and can be found at http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/2_64.html. Additionally, information regarding the applicability of longevity pay to return to work retirees has been added to this policy. For questions regarding this policy contact Employee Benefits.

The Transfer of Capital and Controlled Equipment - Internal, Transfer of Capital and Controlled Equipment - External, Transfer of Non-Capital, Non-Controlled Equipment, Removal of State Property from UTHSC-H Premises, Discarding Obsolete Equipment, Lost or Stolen Equipment, Equipment Loan, and Software Capitalization Policies (Nos. 16.02, 16.03, 16.04, 16.05, 16.06, 16.07, 16.09 and 16.10) have been combined with the Accountability and Responsibility for State Property Policy (No. 16.01, http://legal.uth.tmc.edu/hoop/16/16_01.html). This policy will serve as the university's general state property policy and links to current procedures found in the Information Handbook for State Property Accounting Responsibility.
