The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (“the university”), in accordance with state and federal laws and with its own criteria for faculty and staff, requires prospective employees to meet the eligibility requirements described in this policy in order to be employed by the university.
Prospective employees must be eligible for employment, provide accurate information regarding education and experience, pass required background checks, provide accurate references verifying previous employment, be free from infectious tuberculosis, and pass a physical assessment as necessary to be eligible for employment at the university.
Any falsification of information on an employment application or any other record will immediately disqualify the applicant from further consideration. In addition, Human Resources may initiate proceedings for immediate dismissal against any employee if it becomes evident the employee's application information was falsified.
